Fall Semester 2010
Welcome to the 2010 Fall semester. No matter how you feel entering Spanish this year, I promise that the first two weeks will fully prepare you for anything ahead. I guarantee you that I will provide you everything you need to be successful in Spanish, you simply have to make sure that you utilize all that is given to you. Everything you receive on this journey will prepare you for the current chapter and chapters to follow. I suggest that you keep every practice sheet given to you in a Spanish folder, as they will be useful in preparing for your final exam at the end of each semester. Each chapter builds on itself so make sure that you learn the material and that you don't just memorize it for tests and quizzes and think you can simply move on. Vocabulary will go from chapter to chapter and so will the grammar, so keep up with it. It is also vital that you master each grammatical skill because they all intertwine. If you need to see me for help, ask. I will make time to see you before or after school or during academic opportunity periods.
The purpose of this blog is for you to have access to a review of each chapter's materials whenever you need it. This concept is also preparing you for college as many of your professors will communicate your classwork and homework to you through the internet.
I look forward to serving you in a new year. Come to class prepared with your textbook, paper and writing utensils. You must be prepared! Also, come with an open mind and with a willing and supportive attitude and you will really enjoy your Spanish experience and be very successful. It's a great class and lots of fun when you are actively involved. =)
